No matter your level or experience, all new Inner Balance clients must begin with an INTRO class. This discounted 1:1 class ($50) allows us to guide you through a few Pilates basics while we assess your starting level. During this session, we’ll also determine your personal Reformer settings and make any necessary modifications for your comfort and safety.
Yes! If you have been cleared to exercise, Inner Balance Pilates prides itself in developing programming that can be custom-fit for you. The beauty of Pilates is in the way it can be modified for any individual goals and needs. Pilates exercises and apparatus were built for just that.

Inner Balance Pilates "New Client "Guide To Getting Started:
Short answer? Yes, you have to take INTRO first. But the best part? Your INTRO class will be based on your current level, so you’ll get the opportunity to take a private lesson and work on your form at a discounted rate.
We do not offer a free trial. Instead, we offer a deeply discounted private 1-1. The INTRO.
Our classes are pre-enrolled and tailored to specific skill levels, so we don't list a public schedule. This prevents confusion regarding availability and ensures every student is in the right class for their goals. Please contact us to find a session that works for you!

New To Pilates?
We love introducing people to Pilates. We recommend starting with a Visitor Intro Session. This 1-on-1 appointment allows us to teach you the equipment basics safely so you can potentially join our group classes during the rest of your stay. Book your Visitor INTRO
We sure do! We offer livestream classes, which come in handy when you’re rushed coming home from work or simply need a night in and don’t want to skip your workout.
We do not—but there’s a reason, and it’s not because we want to force you into a membership. At our studio, we value your progress and investment, and we know that just one class here or there won’t give you the full benefits Pilates can offer. Instead, we have three membership options that provide consistent instruction and hands-on guidance. This is Pilates done right, designed to give you real, lasting results.
Once your INTRO class is scheduled (which you can request to book here), we’ll send you an email with your onboarding materials to complete beforehand, including a general health questionnaire, a waiver, and your payment for the session.
After completing the INTRO session, you’ll be able to select your membership and set up your auto-pay account.
Nope! Once you’ve completed the onboarding forms, you won't need to fill out anything else (unless you’re updating the card on file).
Request your INTRO class here, and we’ll be in touch within 24 hours to officially schedule the session. Any remaining forms, such as your autopay account, will be emailed or texted to you.
Great question! We recommend comfortable athletic wear—nothing too baggy or bulky, mainly so your clothing won’t get caught on a Reformer machine or get in your way during Mat work. Think Yoga and Pilates leggings or gym shorts with compression shorts underneath. If you run hot or cold, be sure to dress in layers so you can either shed outer clothing or put on more to be comfy.
While we don’t offer certification, we do provide apprenticeship and mentorship opportunities in all Pilates apparatus, including the Mat, Reformer, Chair, Barrels and Cadillac.
Most individuals who complete my “IBP Instructor Training” Program eventually pursue certification. They are significantly better prepared for certification because they’ve already gained substantial training, observation, and teaching experience. The program is structured, requiring a specified number of hours in each aspect.
Considering the high cost (and travel expenses) of most renowned Pilates method verifications (STOTT, Balanced Body, BASI, etc.), this program allows individuals to earn and prepare for that investment.
If a more conventional certification aligns with your preferences, we recommend the following companies renowned for their exceptional programs:
CONTEMPORARY:
- STOTT Pilates (This is where our owner (Gen) received her training and certification.)
- Balanced Body
- BASI Pilates
- Polestar
CLASSICAL:
- Peak Pilates
Yes! We have plenty of free parking just outside our building.
Absolutely! We’re certified in pre- and postnatal Pilates, and we’d love to help you move through your pregnancy as long as you have clearance to do so from your doctor.
No, we do not have childcare.
Though we don’t have lockers, we have two spacious changing rooms for you to use.
es! If a class is full, you can join the waitlist via our booking system. If a spot opens up more than 24 hours in advance, you will be automatically added and notified.
Your First 24 Hours: What To Expect
The work doesn't stop when you leave the studio Here is what you might experience as your body begins to process your first session:
Perfect. That’s why you’re here. We don't expect you to be 'ready' for Pilates; Pilates is what gets you ready for life.
For most effect, we recommend 2–3 times a week. However, the best schedule is the one you can stick to consistently.
We have clients that come once per week and others who come four days a week!
Please refer to our STUDIO POLICIES page
Because we limit our classes to just 6 students to ensure you get personalized attention, your spot is highly valued. If you can’t make it, please let us know 24 hours in advance so another member of the community can take that slot. Someone is always waiting!
Yes! We want your membership to fit your lifestyle. You can upgrade OR downgrade your membership level at any time.
For our PREMIUM and SIGNATURE memberships, classes do not "roll over" to the next cycle. However, if you miss a class with at least 24 hours' notice, you have an 8-week window to book a makeup session so you don’t lose that credit.
We don’t believe in locking you into year-long commitments.
Our PREMIUM and SIGNATURE memberships run on a 28-day auto-pay cycle. We simply require a 28-day written notice for cancellations to ensure our instructors' schedules remain stable.
Our CORE membership runs on a 12-week auto-pay cycle. We simply require a 28-day (from the 12th week)written notice for cancellations to ensure our instructors' schedules remain stable.
Absolutely. Pilates is highly adaptable and often used for rehabilitation. Please inform your instructor of any injuries via the studio text line 814-900-7833 before your session so they can prepare specific modifications for you.
We prioritize the health of our community. If you have a fever or contagious symptoms, please stay home. While our 24-hour notice policy is strictly enforced for billing, if an instructor asks you to leave due to visible acute symptoms, your class credit will be returned to your account for future use.
Although not guaranteed, we will do our best to find make up opportunities for sick days.
While the price of Pilates reflects the specialized equipment and overhead of a boutique studio, the true value lies in the personalized instruction and long-term health benefits you receive.
Nationwide, a private 1-on-1 Pilates session typically ranges from $75 to $150+ per hour, while small group equipment classes average $35 to $60 per session.
At Inner Balance Pilates, our pricing is designed to meet or beat these national standards while providing a high-end, 'boutique' experience.
Unlike a large gym class, our sessions are kept intentionally small (no more than 6 students) or private. This allows our certified instructors to provide constant hands-on corrections, ensuring your form is safe and your movements are effective.
When you invest in Pilates session here, you are paying for:
Think of it as an investment in a body that moves better, feels stronger, and stays pain-free for years to come.
Comprehensive Instructor Expertise
Unlike general fitness certifications that can be completed in a weekend, our instructors undergo hundreds of hours of rigorous training. This includes deep dives into functional anatomy, biomechanics, and the mastery of all Pilates apparatus (Mat, Reformer, Chair, and Cadillac). This extensive background means your instructor isn’t just leading a workout—they are analyzing your movement in real-time to prevent injury and ensure you are engaging the correct muscles for maximum results.
