Working out is great, but not every workout is built for your body. Instead of pushing through pain or fatigue, Pilates meets you where you are without leaving you drained. In the 23 years since opening our Pilates studio, we’ve met countless clients who came to us after feeling burnt out, sore, or stuck in high-impact workout routines that didn’t work for them. Many even realized their previous workouts were making injuries worse or draining their energy. 


Despite knowing it wasn’t right for their bodies, they kept pushing themselves anyway—ultimately to their own detriment. Maybe that’s what you’re experiencing right now: forcing your body to fit into a mold that simply doesn’t work for you because, until now, it seemed like your options were limited.


All of that changes here and now. Once those clients started Pilates with our team, they didn’t just find a fulfilling, full-body workout. Get Ready for Inner Balance Pilates!

STEP ONE: The INTRO

No matter your level or experience, all new Inner Balance clients must begin with our signature INTRO class. 


This discounted ($50) 1:1 session with one of our expert instructors allows us to guide you through a few Pilates basics while we assess your starting level. During this session, we’ll also determine your personal Reformer settings and make any necessary modifications for your comfort and safety.


In your INTRO, you can expect to:

  • Familiarize yourself with our studio
  • Learn or review the fundamentals of Pilates movement (perfect for beginners OR a great refresher if you’ve practiced before)
  • Get to know our typical setup and use our Merrithew reformers
  • Move through a workout with one of our instructors (tailored to you and your level!)
  • Discuss injury prevention and modifications that may be helpful in your workouts


Not a beginner? You’ll still benefit from refining your form, learning our equipment, and getting a feel for our teaching style before jumping into regular classes.


We’ll help you choose the right membership after you’ve completed the INTRO class.

Here’s why we do things differently:

We know it might sound a little surprising, but we don’t offer drop-in classes. It’s not to trap you into a membership. It’s because the real benefits of Pilates take more than one session to show up, especially if the class isn’t tailored to your level, and your progress and safety matter more than convenience. 


At Inner Balance, our small class sizes (never more than 6 students) , hands-on guidance, and supportive environment help you stay on track, making sure that every single movement counts and feels good on your body along the way. We promise that with us, you’ll never feel lost in the crowd or like you’re just another number.

Great question! We recommend comfortable athletic wear—nothing too baggy or bulky, mainly so your clothing won’t get caught on a Reformer machine or get in your way during Mat work. Think Yoga and Pilates leggings or gym shorts with compression shorts underneath. If you run hot or cold, be sure to dress in layers so you can either shed outer clothing or put on more to be comfy.


The INTRO is a heavily discounted private session.  The total cost is $50, making an amazing opportunity to experience 1-1 training.


Absolutely! We’re certified in pre- and postnatal Pilates, and we’d love to help you move through your pregnancy as long as you have clearance to do so from your doctor. 


Once your INTRO class is scheduled (which you can request to book here), we’ll send you an email with your onboarding materials to complete beforehand, including a general health questionnaire, a waiver, and your payment for the session. After completing the INTRO session, you’ll be able to select your membership and set up your auto-pay account.
